WELCOME, DREAMERS!

MEET THE AUTHOR

María Isabel Sánchez Vegara

I grew up loving books. As a child, I would often hide under the blankets with a torch and keep reading long after I was supposed to be asleep. Stories made the world feel bigger and full of possibilities, and they also made me want to tell stories of my own.

I began my career as a copywriter in advertising, where I learnt how much can be said with just a few words. But it wasn’t until I was forty that I published my first book.

Soon afterwards, I created Little People, BIG DREAMS. I wanted children to discover extraordinary lives through simple, inspiring stories, and to understand that every big dream starts somewhere small.

Today, I still begin each new book with the same curiosity and excitement I felt as that little girl reading under the blankets.
